What is the Sound Bank?

The Sound Bank is a unique fund dedicated to commissioning the best in independent audio story telling from around the world, outside the straitjacket of conventional radio commissioning.

Set up by the In The Dark, the Sound Bank offers grants for the production of new short pieces. An independent jury of international radio enthusiasts awards up to four grants.

The second Sound Bank grant scheme will be opening on 7th July – full details will be made available on this site.
