Sadly Orson Welles’s classic The Hitch-Hiker did not fit in “Out of The Dark” sequence. This is the story of a tormented man driving from Brooklyn to California and his unexplainable and agonizing encounters with a hitch-hiker. Written by Lucille Fletcher it was broadcast for the first time in 1941 on the ‘Orson Welles Show’ on CBS Radio and was later adapted to television for an episode of The Twilight Zone.
