In The Dark Sheffield International Audio Award

We are very excited to announce that In The Dark is joining forces with Sheffield Doc/Fest, the UK’s leading documentary organisation and festival, to create a new award specifically devoted to audio documentaries from around the world.

The In The Dark Sheffield International Audio Award will be Sheffield Doc/Fest’s first ever award for audio work, and will highlight a new wave of global creativity and innovation in audio storytelling.

The winner will be chosen by a panel of international radio documentary and podcast makers –

Jad Abumrad (Host/Producer, Radiolab, USA),

Kari Hesthamar (Head of Radio Documentaries, NRK, Norway)

Kaitlin Prest (Co-Creative Director, Audio Smut, Canada)

and will be chaired by Nina Garthwaite (Director, In The Dark, UK).

We’re accepting submissions of international audio docs completed between 1st January 2013 and 5th March 2014. Non-English language content welcome!
