“Hope is not a lottery ticket you can sit on the sofa and clutch, feeling lucky. It is an axe you break down doors with in an emergency.” — Rebecca Solnit

What role does sound have to play in protest? Can audio-makers create radical work under the constraints of commissioners? How can other artists and activists use audio in subversive ways? As expanding police powers crack down on our right to demonstrate noisily, join Brid Addison-Child for a loud evening of audio curated on the themes of protest and liberation.

Brid Addison-Child is an audio maker and artist whose work focuses on the UK Asylum System, queer and trans liberation, and grassroots organising. Their work has been awarded with the Best Grassroots Production at the ARIAS and Gold in Creative Innovation at British Podcast Awards.
