Many apologies, we’re afraid this event has been cancelled.

For our first event for the the “Rest and its discontents” exhibition we’re collaborating with writer and journalist Penny Anderson. Penny is known for her unique artwork that combines overheard tetsimonies with the traditional craft of cross stitching. Penny will be giving a beginners how-to that will set you up to discover your own creative cross stitching path (or just while away a few hours with a needle and thread in good company!).

The event will be in collaboration with our Default Mode Radio Network – a radio stream for mindwanderers. You will be free to stay in the space following the workshop and cross-stitch to your heart’s content while listening to the radio (what could be more relaxing/productive than that for a Friday afternoon?). All materials will be supplied.

Part of a series of free events brought to you by Rest & its discontents at the Mile End Art Pavilion.

WHEN:  Friday 30th September. Workshop will be from 12.00 – 2.00pm

WHERE: Mile End Art Pavillion, Clinton Rd, London E3 4QY

TICKETS: Free (you can just turn up but we’d be grateful if you could email Nina so we can make sure we have enough materials)
