Children of Dave (2024)
Boen Wang’s parents moved to get a PHD at the university of Oklahoma during the cultural revolution. His Dad was picked up in the airport by Dave. He is a Christian, the leader of a local church’s Chinese ministry. In time, Boen’s dad, and later his mum, came to accept Christ, and raised Boen a Christian. Boen left the church when he was 22, and feels he has religious trauma. He’s going back to Oklahoma to make sense of the role Christianity played in his life, and ask what would have happened if Dave hadn’t picked up his dad.

Memory from Memory (2024)
Steve Urquhart’s mum died in March 2023. Towards the end of her life, she had dementia. She played the piano and, after she died, Steve went through her sheet music. He found not one, not two, not three, but – FOUR – copies of “Memory” from Cats.
Steve is not a fan of Andrew Loyd Webber, and is not really into the song Memory. So he gave the 4 copies away to charity. It’s been almost 40 years since Steve last tried to play “Memory” on the piano. In this piece, he tries to remember how to play “Memory”, from memory…
