We have a winner!

Professor Emeritus Seán Street kindly donated a copy of his brand-new book to share with his fellow Friends, and we devised a little competition. It’s now closed, as we have a winer (Wait! We’ll tell you… soon). Feel free to try your hand at the guess the sounds below. Then at the end, gasp in admiration at the name of the winner!

____________

Want to get your mitts on a free copy of Sean Street’s new book? It’s simple!

There are six sounds in the mp3s below. To win the book, identify them.

Either what they actually came from, or, true to the extract you’ve just read, what they might be. Send your answers to us by 12.00 noon (UK time) on the book release date: 6th February, and we’ll announce the winner that very day.

Are you ready?
