“[In The Dark] is all about listening in new ways” Time Out
For the past 15 years In The Dark has been supporting artists working with sound. We have done this through events, funding, training, and mentorship, while expanding creative and experimental audio storytelling to new audiences and cultural spaces. We also advocate within the industry for the work of new and independent artists, encouraging diversity and creativity in sound.
“the next big thing in nights out” The Londonist
We are best known for our monthly live listening events, held in packed venues throughout London – a bit like a cinema, but without the pictures. We have also held regular live listening events in Bristol, Manchester, Portugal, Australia, Belgium, Belfast, and Berlin.
In addition to our regular events we have curated special events and installations for numerous festivals, galleries and creative institutions including Glastonbury, The V&A, The Barbican, The British Library and The Wellcome Collection.
