Over 12 months in 2026/27, In The Dark is collaborating with Multitrack to create the Audio Artist Pathway, a space for six UK-based, mid-career audio producers to expand their craft and step into the audio arts.
Over the year In The Dark will be supporting the artists through group and 1-1 sessions alongside a programme of masterclasses and mentoring. Each artist will be given a stipend of £3000 to help support their development time. The programme will culminate in the sharing of work in development at the XMTR Audio Arts festival in St Leonards-on-Sea (September 2027).
The Pathway Artists
Brid Addison-Child
Radio documentary maker and audio artist creating immersive work that combines documentary, memoir and performance. Their practice explores queer embodiment, community and social justice through innovative uses of sound.
Olateju Adeleye
Award-winning audio producer and sound artist with a background in documentaries, specialist music and cultural programming. Her work combines research, storytelling and experimental audio to create immersive, socially engaged listening experiences.
Olivia Davies
Audio producer and artist working across sound, movement and performance. Their creative practice uses sound and the moving body to explore themes of identity, power, memory, technology and the politics of being seen – and heard.
Caitlin Kennedy
Creative audio maker, conservationist and field recordist. Exploring ecology, experimental sound and beyond-human listening through documentary, immersive audio and sonic storytelling.
Sophie Little
Audio producer, broadcaster and sound artist creating immersive sonic portraits through voice, field recordings and original composition, exploring the relationship between listening, perception and human connection.
Oliver Morris
Audio producer, poet and audio dramatist exploring the creative possibilities of sound through fiction, spoken word and experimental audio. Their work focuses on connection, resilience and the emotional power of storytelling.
